Estou iniciando os estudos e estou querendo montar o ambiente para praticar com os exemplos da apostila.

Faz séculos que não mexo com eclipse, entrei no site pra download (conforme indicado no PDF), pra tentar baixar a versão Europa e encontrei diversos links, em nenhum deles, tem uma menção sobre "Europa". Dei uma pesquisada e pelo que entendi, todas as versões ali são Europa, mas cada uma em um pacote para determinado objetivo. Alguém pode me esclarecer que versão baixar?

Eu estou usando o NetBeans com suporte para java.
Mas no eclipse é a mesma coisa. Após isso é só instalar o sdk do android. é basicamente isso o que vc precisa.

Basta usar o Eclipse Classic (atualmente é o 3.5.2 Galileo). É o melhor ambiente a ser usado pela usa integração total com o SDK do Android.

Ambiente de desenvolvimento android feito pela Motorola. Nada mais é do que um Eclipse com ambiente de desenvolvimento android embutido. Estou começando a testar, mas parece ser mt bom.
